
This week I worked on laying out the UV's for my lighting project - in particular the lily shown here so that I could work on creating a nice texture for it in Photoshop.
Maya wasn't very kind when it came to automatically mapping my UVs as you can see from the image on the left.
This is better at least for the petals though the parts of the stamen (see image below for an example) need to be fixed.

Once the UV's for this one flower are done I can start texturing and create duplicates of the flower model without having to go in an create UV's for every flower I want to put in the scene.
